Part XIII - Other Cancer InformationMetronomic chemotherapy is another form of drug delivery using repetitive low dosage chemotherapy drugs over extended periods of time that can be considered in advanced cancer cases where previously used drugs have become ineffective or to treat the endothelium or tumor stroma as opposed to targeting the tumor (see a discussion of this approach at the link below):
Metronomic Chemotherapy Certain types of cancers are very difficult to treat. Cancer that has spread to the lining surfaces of the abdominal cavity from the primary colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer....are such cancers.
