Welcome to Guide to Cancer TreatmentPreamble:AcknowledgementsMany people are responsible either directly or indirectly for the existence of this website. I want to acknowledge the following in particular:
- In memory of those who inspired me to start and continue on the journey of learning more about cancer therapy options: Ken Schomburg: Diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in July,1994, he passed away on October 30, 1994.... a very dear friend for whom I started my research of cancer therapy options. Doug French: A tireless researcher of cancer treatment options who passed away after years of dealing with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Carol Williams: She was a quick learner and a willing participant in cancer therapy options that appeared to provide a chance at survival. Following her passing, her husband Kenny continued to share cancer information with others dealing with this dreaded disease. Vena Sutherland: She committed herself over many years to providing help to cancer patients through various support groups and her devotion was an inspiration to me and many others. - In the early years of my research, the CompuServe Cancer Forum was an invaluable resource to my learning, as oncologists were active participants in discussions of cancer therapy options. A special thanks to Drs. Rick Hankenson, RMichael Williams, Larry Weisenthal, Robert Nagourney, and Robert Fine. - I learned a great deal from those who participated in regular weekly two hour Internet cancer conferences over a ten year period: Susan Holloran, Gaby Kutner, Kenny Williams, and Doug French. - Bringing all that I’ve learned regarding cancer therapy options to this website would not have been possible without the encouragement and the website development efforts of my son, Dan Nohr and granddaughter, Corina Nohr. - Finally, a special thank you to Ed Wais, Sarah Arendt, and Katie Schmitz from the La Crosse AVS Group for their generous support in bringing Search Engine Optimization to this website. |
